Design and Technology aims to teach the boys to use their knowledge, skills and resources to recognise and solve problems and satisfy human needs and wants by investigating, designing, making and evaluating products and systems. The learners are encouraged to broaden their thinking, to challenge the known and to embrace all opportunities.

We aim to make Design and Technology meaningful and effective by:

• Offering a dedicated and well-equipped technology room.
• Ensuring that the Learning Area is taught by a highly qualified and experienced subject specialist.
• Integrating the curriculum with Art, Music, Literacy, Mathematics, Natural Science and IT where possible.
• Allocating 1 hour per week for tuition.
• Recognising that Design & Technology is something we experience through hands-on design, planning and making.
• Splitting classes between Art and Design and Technology. A small group environment is ideal for this Learning Area.
• Creating a love for Design and Technology.  Our boys find this one of their most enjoyable times of the week.
