Here follows an extract from the speech made by Matt Hayward at a recent Assembly:

My challenge to you this morning is: we need to care…

I’d like to encourage you to consider:

  • Caring about your image as a SACS boy, by wearing the correct uniform at all times;
  • Caring about your school environment by taking care not to litter;
  • Caring about how you treat others; the rule should be: treat others the way you would like them to treat you;
  • Caring about each other’s progress. Be helpful. Support those who need help and encouragement. I’d like to see more A team players, for e.g, supporting the Bs, Cs and Ds.
  • Caring about your school work. Do your homework. It will benefit you in the long run (as well as keeping your teachers off your back).
