Inter-schools Sailing Regatta

sailing

The annual inter-schools sailing regatta was held at Imperial Yacht Club, Zandvlei over the weekend of 9 & 10 February. SACS had 3 sailors competing Murray Willcocks (7F) his brother Greg Willcocks (5W) and Sheldon Smith (5W). The race conditions were very different on both days one windy with plenty of work for the rescue craft and the final race was abandoned through lack of wind. Murray came 2nd overall with Greg coming 5th and Sheldon was 13th. Well done to the team as their combined points meant SACS were winners of the team event. A huge thank you to the Willcocks family for organizing the sailors onto the water.
