IGK QUIZ TROPHY RETURNS TO SACS!

The Final Round of the annual Interschools GK Quiz Competition took place at Elkanah House, Bloubergstrand, on the 20th of October 2010. The event was excellently organized, well-supported and thoroughly enjoyed.

70 learners representing the TOP 10 GK schools from across the Peninsula competed for the prestigious IGK Trophy. The Quiz turned out to be a stern test of intellectual fortitude, courage under pressure and team work dynamics. The contestants were bombarded with tough questions ranging from Science to Geography to the Arts, amongst others.

The brains-trust of SACS Junior: Matthew Field; Michael Granelli; Uzair Manack; Mázin Jeppie; Conor O’ Reilly; Emil Snyman and Nicholas Janisch, certainly rose to the occasion. They showed excellent team work, focus and communication on the road to winning the Competition. The Top 3 schools at the end of the evening were: SACS Junior (72); Rondebosch Boys’ (69) and Wynberg Gilrs’ (67).

The boys were deserved winners. The IGK trophy has once again returned to the School after a one-year absence.
