BRING YOUR PET TO SCHOOL DAY

pet

Yes.. at SACS we brought our "PET" to school. It was however, not the four legged kind but our PET 1 plastic bottles.

As part of our ongoing recycling campaign, boys were asked to collect PET 1 bottles and bring it to school.

It was the final recycling competition for the year and in true SACS style, everyone pulled together and collected thousands of PET bottles. Well done to all the classes.

1st Place in general Knowledge Quiz Finals!!!

Micklefield hosted the final round of the Inter-schools General Knowledge Quiz on Wednesday 22 October. The top 12 General Knowledge schools in the Peninsula competed for the coveted GK Trophy in what proved to be a tense, nail-biting occasion.

Matthew Hall (Grade 7g), Gavin Buddle (Grade 7r), Riaz-Ahmed Dalvie (Grade 7d), Luke Schwartzkopff (Grade 7d), Jason Dudley (Grade 6h) and Mayur Prag (Grade 6o) represented SACS Junior with great enthusiasm and determination. The team proved that they had the ‘right stuff’ and powered their way to a convincing win. They scored 81%, leaving Grove in 2nd place and Sweet Valley in 3rd. Well done to the team and Ms Lynne Roscoe for managing to regain the trophy after a three-year absence.

Headmaster’s Comment: Congratulations to Mr Dudley (Cape Town Schools’ GK Organiser) and to Mr Nel (Quiz Master) for their efforts. Two very smart, articulate gentlemen!
