Learn to Sail

Zeekoevlei Yacht Club offer sailing courses, usually twice a year:

  • January to April
  • August to December
  • There are no classes during the holidays
  • Lessons are on Sunday mornings 9:30 to 13:00
  • Enthusiastic coaches sometimes keep them out on the water longer, if they are all in the middle of something exciting
  • ZVYC often run a 2 day camp, organised by Nicki Stock. Please check with ZVYC when the next course is due to take place
  • The majority of coaches are parents and help the young sailors
  • Prices currently are R500 for the hire of the boat, an Optimist dinghy and R600 for the course (Please check the prices with the yacht club)
